THE CRUX OF IT: The elimination of improper response
More killings.
In this country, entire groups feel threatened and targeted, including but not limited to, Black people, Hispanic people, and Muslims. Whether the threat is true or not, or if it is simply a perception, is a debate desired only by those with something to gain from the pain.
Those not profiting from it, know it is real.
Imagine if a SINGLE Caucasian male appeared to be intentionally targeted, let alone several of them – and consistently!
What would the reaction be…?
No need to imagine – historical evidence reveals a litany armed insurgencies, murders and genocide.
And women (especially Caucasians) that often so readily feel attacked or subjugated, would and have responded furiously, unitedly and in a coordinated fashion to FAR lesser transgressions.
Our responses have been measured and tempered by passivity and ineffectual prayer.
Amazing restraint considering…
The entire country rallied and mobilized behind attacks on homosexuals. Congress was shut down by a reactionary sit-in and demands for action. This is not a negative condemnation or a criticism, but an equal response has not and likely will not develop from the most recent killings in Louisiana and Minnesota.
Media impartially reports statistics and factoids in such a disconnected, and in many times, a dispassionate way with regard to black death. Their objective is to clinically observe what, if anything, black people will do. This differs greatly from the engagement after Orlando.
Where is the same degree of passion that is immediately brought forth for other groups?
Have we been made to accept desensitization?
Have we been made to seek redress through the actions of someone – other?
Do we continually undermine progress by relying on praying to a concept that was manufactured by and for a separate group?
Two despicable beasts drive the oppression that is the basis of this country’s history:
There is the blatant racism that must be confronted and subdued and there is also the individual perception turned to action that stems from fear and weakness.
There is an institutional imperative and a designed intent, but It doesn’t matter if it is intentional or not – It simply is – regardless of cause.
Original and malicious planning and intent still exists, but, has also now turned to a kind of self-propagating auto-pilot, yielding the same results with much less overt effort.
When it comes to interactions with the police, there are three probable outcomes in the minds of the majority of people of color:
comply and die
don’t comply and die
initiate aggression and die
This is not hyperbole.
Multiple documented examples prove the end result of each scenario.
Let it yet again be pointed out how heavily armed and literally threatening white people are left alone, provided for and even – initially – REWARDED for their evil and anti-social behavior ( Dylann Roof/ Cliven Bundy)
Finally, with the target of aggression so commonly being males of color, who is then left to pick up the pieces and teach and guide? Only strong but damaged women are left to defend their martyred men, praise their virtue, seek regress and attempt to instill manhood in their young ones.
How can a population advance or be sustained without its men?
Do you really believe that I’m the only one to pose that question…
