O’Rielly, from Fox, posits that thousands more Americans are being murdered because police are being more passive since the Ferguson debacle and the advent of Black Lives Matter.
He also calls it an “indignity” that members of the group have been invited to the White House. The indignity of an innocent being murdered should be considered much greater. But, I suppose it depends on who those innocents are.
The “Ferguson Effect” is a misnomer from the right that claims police are hindered from doing their jobs because they may be watched and subsequently, put in check for what they vehemently claim is simply doing their job.
Think about that logic.
Anything that is legally and rightfully in their job description can be and should be intimately observed.
What form of protecting or serving must remain clandestine?
This is another opportunity for those sympathetic to roll out dog-whistle phrases like Black on Black crime.
The truth is that, according to the DOJ, people harm their own, consistently.
Let someone-anyone even suggest that White on White crime is spiraling out of control.
The not so obvious reason that the notion will never gain traction is simple but it goes unstated;
There is absolutely no agenda to cull collective awareness, purpose and unity within the White community- PERIOD!
O’Rielly is barely tolerable and his viewpoints only serve a demographic that is rapidly becoming extinct.
O’Rielly should be seen for what he is; a sales and marketing wizard. What then is his product?
That would be division.
The market for it is stimulated by fomenting fear. That fear serves multiple purposes. First, it provides an enormous income. Much like the oil industry did when Bush was in office, that win-fall has to be spurred on to the utmost because the consumers for as well as the time-span for that product are dwindling. In this example, the viewers for his particular brand of carcinogen are literally dying. The median age for O’Rielly’s viewers is 70.
Next, it mollifies a segment of the population that can potentially awaken a larger portion of individuals.
Furthermore, it diverts attention from legitimate concerns by condescendingly dismissing even seemingly unquestionable grievances made by those with footing to gain.
He’s taking cues from another self-serving and transparent source; Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute.
This is the person that has criticized American immigration policy as “importing another underclass”, referring to Hispanics, which has the “potential to expand indefinitely”.
Got that? “Another underclass…”
Who exactly do you think she believes make up the first underclass?
Who exactly is unquestioned to be the upper-class?
She has advocated for religious profiling by the police on the grounds that “you cannot be an Islamic terrorist unless you’re a member of the Muslim faith”.
How would it be received if someone insisted on the profiling of the Church under the similar premise that you cannot be a molesting priest unless you are a Catholic? The chances of that not being ridiculed are almost non-existent.
She is just another member of the intellectual branch of elitist supremacists. Their kind are not the foot-soldiers. They more closely resemble field Generals taking orders yet from those in the War Room.
These people have an agenda which, in essence, is to create a kind of aristocracy of the “superior”.
The suggestion these two put forth is that anyone associated with the Black Lives Matters movement holds the belief that racist cops are the greatest threat to young black males today. These two shills reject that outright.
Possibly to your surprise, I do as well.
Needless to say, our rationales for rejection differ wildly.
I submit that the actual greatest threat to black males especially but also to all of us is the acceptance of misinformation designed to manipulate your thought process with the intent to ultimately subdue you mind, body, and spirit.
The most effective jailer is one that builds and defends their own cell.
