The Land of the Free…

The Master Ape has warned of the potential for something akin to the Civil War reoccurring…soon!

He has used words to incite violence before, with horrible results.

I contend that the NRA and militia groups and right-wing terrorists have always been preparing for that possible eventuality and not for the bullshit reason of defending the constitution that they’ve pedaled for decades.

Is the second amendment intended for every citizen of the United States?

James Madison (heavily influenced by George Mason and other founder fathers) wrote twelve amendments to the US Constitution that were sent to the governments of each State for ratification on September 25, 1789.

At that time, who were the only citizens of the U.S.?

While all people born in or naturalized by the U.S. are considered citizens now, that was never the original intent and obviously there are multiple groups that believe in the limited inclusion I’m suggesting. Those people have also extended their exclusion and disapproval to those that simply hold a differing political viewpoint.

Those groups I’m referring to include the Oath Keepers and the III% among others.

This is a direct quote from one of their dubious sites:

Here’s the money quote from that thread. This is the truth. This is where we are. We ARE on the verge of a HOT civil war. Like in 1859. That’s where we are. And the Right has ZERO trust or respect for anything the left is doing. We see THEM as illegitimate too.

— Oath Keepers September 30, 2019

And another:

“the militia (that’s us) can be called forth ‘to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.’ … “All he has to do is call us up. We WILL answer the call.” Other Oath Keeper tweets also hint at violence: One states that “their favorite rifle is the AR 15.”

These people revere the “Oppressed South” and worship a group of people that attempted to overthrow the government (some call that unpatriotic) sought to split the country and incite rebellion (sedition) and placed an economic imperative above the concept of basic human rights and freedom.

Federal criminal law prohibits “rebellion or insurrection against the authority of the United States or the laws thereof,” including incitement or assistance to such rebellion or insurrection. It also prohibits conspiring to overthrow the U.S. government, levy war against it or oppose its authority by force.

Now, the great orange ape in office stirs these lunatics up with his talk of “civil war” and “second amenders”. These groups consist of current and inactive military, police, and others like firefighters and of course, judges and government workers/politicians.

Even with all of those people, their totality would only add up to (roughly) thirty to forty percent of the population- though that is a telling and a disturbing amount. Despite being vastly outnumbered, they are potentially capable of overwhelming force.

Having said that- Do I really believe that it will come to that?

No- But I do believe that THEY WANT IT TO.

I started this piece with comedy, but the second vid should have shown how something that seemed harmless at first can change in a heartbeat?

This could become distinctly unfunny quick-fast-and in a hurry!
