Extremely uncommon creatures exist around us everywhere and we have yet to even see them, let alone study them.

Even after centuries of effort, some 86 percent of Earth‘s species have yet to be fully described, according to new study that predicts our planet is home to 8.7 million species.

95 percent of the ocean still remains unexplored and unseen by humans.

The purpose of stating this observation is to illustrate the immense amount of knowledge the general population doesn’t posses.

Before anyone is overly quick to state how little these facts matter, let none of us forget that medicines and technologies have derived from the singular possible source…

If we live everyday on a planet that we know virtually nothing about, where does the incredibly common-place hubris of humans come from?
