EVER be separated from their families and put into caged areas without proper hygiene, due process, supervision, a proper tracking system, a means of reuniting them, basic human rights or a system of support for the damages that will ensue throughout a lifetime.
24 people have died in ICE custody under the Trump administration. The general public, including most of the press, prefer the term immigrant to people because that softens the blow for the segment of the population that remains unsympathetic. This targeted internment and cruelty would absolutely never be allowed to happen to Caucasians.
Now, before those unsympathetic detractors voice their objections to the premise, let’s look at the numbers.
Forty-six percent of immigrants in 2017 reported their race as single-race White. In 2017, forty-four percent of U.S. immigrants (19.7 million people) reported having Hispanic or Latino origins. Do the math; the majority of “immigrants” are from a European or Canadian location but 100 percent of those that are interned are non-white.
Are we to believe that NONE of those people from Canada or Europe ( including Trump’s Nordics) are unlawfully here?
What is the observable difference between the first picture and these that follow?

There is a history in this country that is not subjective, consisting of indigenous genocide, slavery, internment and Muslim bans that paints a picture of the national consciousness.
When people show you who the are…believe them.
We should all also keep in mind that the reality of our collective past is not something that has to be perpetuated. That history does not have to be an inescapable pattern. The more people that accept the factual past that led to this present, the fewer people there will be who will wish to perpetuate it. That is the hope.
