The Pacifiers…

THE CRUX OF IT: Meeting takers with force.

Rep. Alcee Hastings (D-Fla.) make a distinct point of not allowing himself to be silenced by an opponent that would pacify his intensity.

The point to take away from this exchange is this: It is not your obligation to deliver a message or a rebuke to someone that is in opposition to you in such a way that they feel unthreatened.

Those that have ill intent and would do harm to benefit themselves RELY on their victims’ placation.

They count on the timidness.

They expect tepid responses.

Part of the reason that victimizers prosper is because victims, who are inherently more honorable, are loath to hold feet to the fire.

Those that show a disdain for others that are in a weaker position should be met with strength supported by reason rather than platitudes with underlying frailty.

It’s past time to demand and require rather than apologizing.
