THE CRUX OF IT:If you choose not to denounce someone- you share the same voice.

 

 

 

 

I recently posed a question about the presumptive Republican nominee (Drumpf) regarding why no right wingers are rejecting his rhetoric or his stated intentions; denouncing him as a racist.

I also presented this question to a co-worker and , after a befuddled and blank stare, the response was ” I haven’t seen him do anything that I’d perceive to be racist.”

That clarified something to me; Some people aren’t as much racist as they are clueless.

Well, even with the willingness to accept that truth, how might they explain this primate’s latest machination?

On Tuesday, Mother Jones broke the story that the Trump campaign had selected William Johnson, a prominent white nationalist leader, as a California delegate.

Let me try to allay your concerns by assuring you that both the Drumpf campaign and William Johnson stated that a database error allowed that inclusion and that that eventuality would not come to pass. The campaign would remove him or Johnson would voluntarily withdraw himself.

Noble and righteous correct…?

Not so fast quick-draw!

The campaign’s California delegate coordinator, Katie Lagomarsino, sent Johnson a congratulatory email on Monday, and when he asked for clarification about how to send his completed pledge form back to the campaign, she replied.

Lagomarsino clarified when asked, that the campaign did not request that the white nationalist leader’s name be removed until Tuesday May 10th, which is past the statutory deadline.

Do you think that this was a mistake…or a miscalculation…or evidence of incompetence?

Doubtful-

I think it is much more likely that the same person that initially hesitated to disavow the endorsement of the Klu Klux Klan is simply and unabashedly remaining true to character.
