THE CRUX OF IT: Technology unfettered can heal and ascend us all
I can imagine, quite clearly, the profound changes that could come to pass on this blue orb with the unfettered application of technologies.
By that, I mean that the lives and lifestyles of us all could be affected so monumentally, that the entire population of the Earth could be made to ascend.
The obvious question is; How?
Advancements are being made for the benefit of people, animals, and the Earth at a constant rate. These technologies, at first, astound and subsequently, become commonplace. For example; an amount of the population alive today has never even seen a B&W TV- or rotary phone.
So, when the vast improvements to those things were invented, another portion us were enthralled. The drastic demarcations between advancements in the last fifty years alone could be considered miraculous.
The Web is accessible to most everyone and at virtually no cost. That allows for access to almost all information. The advent was transformative.
There are other innovations that could enhance the lives of us all- they exist now- and more are constantly coming.
What then, prevents the uplifting of the general populace?
The answer is the maniacal application of Capitalism.
If an amputee needed to replace a limb, do we possess the means to provide that limb at no cost? Yes we do.
The problem may be that we refuse to characterize people not as financial opportunities but as an obvious beneficiary of an obvious necessity.
Medicine without profit…Universal access to learning…Transportation at no cost…the possibilities are endless. Who gains from witholding? Isn’t that very clear?
Lastly, NO ONE should ever try to apply terms like Socialism or Communism to this desire. Those terms are expressly meant to be marketing tools either for or against a thing that is actually a product in-of-itself. Those labels are terms of control and Placism.
